Executive Summary
For €94mm ($124mm), public Swiss pharmaceutical company Acino Pharma Ltd. has acquired fellow Swiss pharma Mepha LLC’s businesses in the Middle East and Africa (MENA), Latin America, and Asia. In October 2011, Acino announced it had paid €80mm for the MENA portion (€60mm in cash and €20mm in approximately 377k Acino shares), followed by the purchase of the LA and Asian operations in December for €14mm.
