Executive Summary
Nutrinia Ltd. (developing an oral insulin for GI indications in infants) raised $30mm in its Series D financing led by TPG Biotech, which was joined by other new backers HIG BioHealth Partners and WuXi Healthcare Ventures, and returning shareholders OrbiMed, Pontifax, and others. The company will use the funds to commence two pivotal registration trials for intestinal malabsorption in preterm newborns born 26-32 weeks’ gestational age, and infants with short bowel syndrome who are under 12 months. A representative from TPG and HIG will join the board.
