Rite Aid expanding its Michigan presence with acquisition of Perry Drug Stores.

RITE AID EXPANDING MICHIGAN PRESENCE WITH PERRY ACQUISITION, which has commenced under a definitive merger agreement. Of its total of over 2,600 stores, Rite Aid currently operates 124 outlets in Michigan. The acquisition of the 224-store Perry Drug chain will allow Rite Aid to expand its presence in the state and enter the Detroit market for the first time.
