Amgen acquires Avidia for $290mm plus $90mm earn-out

Executive Summary

Amgen has agreed to acquire the 96% of Avidia (developing therapeutics for inflammation, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and neurological conditions) that it does not already own for $290mm up front, plus two potential earn-outs--based on the development of certain compounds--that could total up to $90mm.
